Use RT’s. It’s good to Re-Tweet interesting things you find. It’s a great way of building relationships with other Twitter users. Now your tweets are going out to a bunch of people who are hearing about you for the first time.
Use @replies. @replies show that you’re for real, and that you’re paying attention. It signifies that a mutually effective Tweet relationship is desired.
Follow people back. It’s a win-win – and adding each other will open a whole new door to new prospectives. Some will befriend you before you find them. This is good because they’ve selected you because you look interesting enough to follow.
Use a good DM. It’s more personal to send a Direct Message to welcome new followers.
Be consistent. Tweet interesting bits on a regular basis. People can search by the content of your tweets, so make sure you use keywords that people in your niche might search for.
Repeat things (to a degree). It’s ok to repeat your tweets with some discretion. You can even schedule tweets to go out at regular intervals over a 24 hour period so that people in different time zones can catch them. As we all know, “repetition breeds familiarity.”
